Walking & Hiking
While there are some lovely walks in and around the Loch Lomond Golf Club estate, the hills and mountains of Scotland's first National Park offer a great variety of challenging and interesting routes. The neighbouring Luss Hills rise to over 2,000 feet, providing spectacular views across the loch towards Ben Lomond. At the north end of the loch, the Arrochar Alps and the mountains around Crianlarich present a more challenging hill walk, with summits reaching over 3,000 feet.
Ben Lomond, which sits proudly on the north-east shore of the loch and provides a stunning backdrop to the Club, is very popular with hill walkers. On a clear day, hikers can see the many islands on the loch and the Glasgow skyline in the distance..
Loch Lomond Golf Club itself abounds with flora and fauna, and a comprehensive management plan ensures that all aspects of the woodlands and wetlands are appropriately cared for, earning Loch Lomond ongoing designation as an Audubon Co-operative Sanctuary.
